Attending the meeting were Deputy Director of the Authority of Radio Frequency Management Nguyen Ngoc Lam, General Director of Authority of Southern Affairs Nguyen Dinh Tao, representatives of VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone.
The Chinese side were Deputy Director of Telecommunications Department Song QuizHu; Leaders of telecommunication authorities of border provinces, representatives of China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile.
At this meeting, the frequency management bodies of the two countries updated information in the management of radio frequencies. The two sides focused on frequency control systems, fixing and licensing on the L-band (1427-1518MHz) and C-band (3300 - 3400MHz), reviewing the implementation of the agreement for 2G networks at GSM 900MHz and 1800MHz band. Operators negotiated plans in using 3G networks in the 2100 MHz band in the border areas. This is a good opportunity for the two sides to exchange information and coordinate management in using frequencies in the boundaries of Vietnam and China in the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
Delegations of the two countries met in the spirit of cooperation and hoped the two countries' authorities continue to strengthen cooperation in the use of frequencies in border areas; create a legal framework for the management and use of radio frequencies of the two countries. This is also the target for the better life and economic development of both Vietnam and China.
The meeting will close on June, 2nd, 2016, after the signing of the bilateral collaboration record.
