At the meeting, Deputy Minister Phan Tam expressed his belief that the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation be deepened, and affirmed that the Ministry of Information and Communications was always facilitating Russian businesses to invest and develop in Vietnam.
The Deputy Minister said that Vietnam was developing towards a digital economy. The Ministry of Information and Communications is drafting national programs to accelerate the digital transformation process. These strategies will create great opportunities for Russian IT and communications enterprises. In addition, the Deputy Minister also asked the Ministry of Digital Development, Communication and Mass Media to support in training and scientific research for Vietnam through providing scholarships, exchanging experts, organizing scientific seminars.
Expressing his belief in the traditional relationship between the two countries, the two Governments, Deputy Minister M.V. Mamonov said that Russia and Vietnam had many similarities in IT development. Russia has strengths in the field of e-government, cybersecurity, smart city, etc so the two sides would have many opportunities to work together.
