In 2017, Vietnam plays the role of a host country organizing APEC’s activities for the second time after 19 years of membership. With its position and strength which have been continuously enhanced in almost 30 years since renovation time, again, Vietnam hosts APEC showing the cooperation desire with APEC members, the effort of Vietnam in the development of APEC, promoting peace, stability, cooperation, development of the region and the world. This is also opportunity for world to get to know more about a creative, dynamic and potential and actively integrated Vietnam, about the Vietnamese culture and people through a series of APEC events and activities taking place in different localities of Vietnam.
Under the theme “Creating new dynamism, fostering a shared future”, APEC Vietnam 2017 represents Vietnam’s wish to contribute to the general effort to expand, strengthen APEC cooperation and maintain Asia-Pacific’s role as a motivation for global growth and connectivity.
Based on the topic of APEC, the stamp is designed by a typical art language and color tint. With his creativity and new mind, the designer puts APEC Vietnam 2017 logo in the central of the stamp, over the image of globe to enhance APEC’s role in world’s economic forum as well as Vietnam diplomatic strategic vision – a vision of peaceful, stable and dynamically developed Asia Pacific which will continue to head the regional and global economic growth and integration. Minister Truong Minh Tuan hoped that, with its own meaningful language containing lots of information, this small stamp would be a multidimensional message contributing to APEC stable development and prosperity as well as implementing APEC’s 2017 theme “Creating new dynamism, fostering a shared future” with 4 priorities: promote stable, innovative and inclusive growth; deepen regional economic integration; enhance competitiveness and innovation of micro, small and medium enterprises in digital age; enhance food security and sustainable agriculture in response to climate change in order to implement Bogor goal.
