Signing a MoU on information and communication between Vietnam and Laos

Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan and Laos Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Thansamay Kommasith signed a MoU between the two ministries on November 1, in Vientiane.

In the 1st Joint Working Group Meeting, the two ministers reported the development of the two countries’ information and communications. Vietnam especially supports Laos in state management experiences,  human resources.
 
Minister Truong Minh Tuan promised to provide training to postal staff and wished to open a land transport way between the two countries.
 
MIC will also assist Laos in improving frequency control capacity and training the staff. Minister Truong Minh Tuan suggested cooperation in exchanging IT application in state agencies, and creation of conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest in Laos.
 
Laos is trying to bring information-communication technology into a motive force for socio-economic development. Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Laos Thansamay Kommasith also asked the MIC to help in solving problems of mobile interference, radio frequency management, network security, emergency response, etc.
 
In order to realize the commitments, the two Ministers signed a memorandum of understanding.
