Sao Khue Awards honour outstanding IT products

As many as 64 outstanding information and technology (IT) products and services were presented with the 2017 Sao Khue Awards at a ceremony in Hanoi on April 15.


The event, held by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
Among this year’s award recipients, 44 awards went to products and 20 went to services. The ‘TOP 10 Sao Khue’ title, was presented to seven products and three services with the best prestige, quality and scale, including a start-up enterprise.
The combined revenues of these 10 products and services reached more than VND12.129 trillion (US$539 million), accounting for over 30% of the IT software and service sector’s revenues.
Addressing the ceremony, the Deputy PM appreciated the contributions made by the VINASA and its member enterprises to the development of the country’s IT industry and economy over the past 15 years.
He also congratulated the enteprises whose products and services were honoured with the 2017 Sao Khue Awards.
Deputy PM Dam expressed his hope that the awards would be a source of encouragement to the individuals and enterprises to be more enthusiastic and creative to develop the IT industry, contributing to applying more applications in both country and international market.
He also affirmed that the Government would coordinate with IT enterprises and VINASA to communicate knowledge in the field of IT among the society over the coming time.
Initiated in 2003, the Sao Khue Awards have been presented to 669 IT products and services, becoming a trademark of high quality and ensuring trust among users.
Also at the ceremony, the VINASA celebrated its 15th anniversary, becoming one of the most prestigious social-professional organisations in the IT industry.
