The report on national digital transformation in August 2024 highlights the achievements in promoting the digital transformation process in Vietnam.

It addresses the completion of institutional frameworks and policies, including the issuance of one Prime Minister's Decision and 11 new Circulars. Notably, the expansion of the pilot issuance of judicial records via the VNeID application nationwide starting in October 2024 is considered a key highlight.

In terms of leadership and management, the Prime Minister signed a decision to establish the National Steering Committee for the development of the semiconductor industry and to accelerate the training of human resources in fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. Also, in August, the approval of the construction of smart border gates at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate was granted.

The report highlights significant results in providing online public services, with the fully online service provision rate reaching 55.5%. Furthermore, policies were issued to encourage the use of online public services. Regarding cybersecurity, the number of cyberattacks decreased significantly compared to the same period in 2023, while revenue in this sector saw considerable growth.

The Ministry of Information and Communications recommends that ministries, agencies, and localities prioritize resources and accelerate the implementation of digital transformation tasks according to the 2024 plan./.
