Minister Truong Minh Tuan receives General Director of Radio and Television Slovakia

On November, 24, in Hanoi, Minister Truong Minh Tuan received General Director of Radio and Television Slovakia, Mr. Vaclav Mika.

 At the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan congratulated the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOU) between the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Radio and Television Slovakia in the field of broadcasting, to create conditions for the two sides to coordinate in program production, professional training, etc.

Minister Truong Minh Tuan said that during the visit of Prime Minister of Slovakia to Vietnam in July, 2016, he and Slovakia Prime Minister witnessed the MOU signing ceremony between Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) with a consortium of Slovakia on cooperation in the field of telecommunications.
 
Minister Truong Minh Tuan introduced the development of media, television and electronic information of Vietnam. Vietnam expected to complete the digital television transition by 2020.
 
The Minister said that ICT had become an indispensable part of the modern life. Vietnam is in the process of building smart cities, smart education, smart healthcare, smart traffic. The application of ICT in the field of journalism also contributes to the construction and development of smart cities.
 
General Director of Radio and Television Slovakia said the visit of the Minister to Slovakia starting from November, 25, will be an important event, contributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He also shared the view of Minister Truong Minh Tuan on the strong development of the electronic media, social networks.
