Minister Truong Minh Tuan receives Cuban Ambassador

On September 1, at the headquarters of the MIC, Minister Truong Minh Tuan received Cuban Ambassador Hermenio Lopez Diaz come to say goodbye before the end of his term.


Speaking at the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan said that in 4 years as ambassador, Mr. Hermenio Lopez Diaz left a good impression with the ministries, sectors and people of Vietnam. The Ambassador truly has acted as a bridge between the two peoples and  contributed to promoting the traditional friendship of the two countries.
Vietnam ICT has cooperated with Cuba since the 1980s. The two countries have also developed cooperative relations in the field of journalism and publishing. The two countries' media have made important contributions to help the Vietnamese and Cuban people understand each other.
Currently, Vietnamese telecommunication enterprises are reaching out to cooperate with many countries in the world, including some countries in Latin America. If the cooperation in the field of telecommunications was enhanced would bring more benefits to each country, the minister said.
Ambassador Hermenio Lopez Diaz expressed his thanks to MIC’s support during his 04 year duty. The Ambassador said that in September and October this year, the two governments - Vietnam and Cuba would sign many cooperation agreements. This is a good opportunity for the two sides to continue to promote cooperation in the field of telecommunications and many other areas. He affirmed that the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam always create favorable conditions for the development of cooperation between Cuba and Vietnam.
Minister Truong Minh Tuan expressed confidence that Ambassador Hermenio Lopez Diaz, when returning to Cuba, continued to contribute to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
