The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of Information and Communication of Cuba signed a MoU in the field of Information and Communication. The Cuban Ambassador wished that the cooperation would be realized into specific cooperation, especially in the field of cyber security and e-government. She stressed that Cuba was very interested and wanted to send experts to learn and study Vietnam in the field of network security.
Regarding cooperation with businesses, Cuba wishes to invite representatives of VNPT Group to visit Cuba to discuss the establishment of fiber optic production plants in Cuba; invite Viettel to invest in producing ICT machinery and equipment to meet domestic and export demands; as well as looked forward to cooperate with BKAV about antivirus software.
At the same time, Cuba also wants Vietnam to share its experiences of developing 4G networks, continue to cooperate in the field of publishing and press, etc.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed Vietnam was always ready to help Cuba - a good friend of Vietnam. The Ministry of Information and Communications agreed to support Cuba in the field of network security.
Regarding cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that he would create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to cooperate and transfer technology with Cuba.
The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam is also willing to share experiences on telecommunications market management and cooperate with Cuba in the field of telecommunications technology by inviting Cuba to attend workshops about 4G and 5G networks.
In the field of press, including the publishing, the two countries have developed good cooperation over the years. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung proposed Cuba and Vietnam every year send reporters to each other country to write about the socio-economic, science and technology development, culture and people to enhance mutual understanding.
