At the meeting, the two sides briefed each other the development of Information and Communications of each country; reviewed the results of cooperation in recent years and confirmed the two sides’ effective coordination in the field of Information and Communications such as: the exchange of journalist delegations; journalist training courses; cooperation and exchange of contents, programs and publications; infrastructure development of the transmission network; etc.
In terms of the future cooperation, the two sides agreed to continue to prioritize and expand the exchange programs; organize workshops, seminars on management issues, information and press; encourage and create favorable conditions for press agencies, television stations, radio stations in direct cooperations.
The two sides also agreed to facilitate the mass media and news agencies in broadcasting, widening their coverages and informing about the country, people and achievements of each country; enable news agencies, publishers, radios, televisions in the establishment of direct ties, support on technologies and information sharing, etc.
On this occasion, the two ministers signed a cooperation plan for the period 2016 - 2020 between the Ministry of Information and Communications of S.R. Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture - Information and Tourism of Laos.
