Addressing at the Summit, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam affirmed: The Industry 4.0 was mentioned, now it was time for our actions. He called on all political systems, social organizations, businesses, universities, research institutes, scientists and the social community to connect and jointly act to build a complete IT infrastructure, especially broadband infrastructure.
The Deputy PM also paid particular attention to cyber security issues. This is not only the business opportunity of businesses but also the responsibility of State management agencies.
On IT human resources, the Deputy PM said that relevant ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Information and Communications created policies in reforming IT human resource training as well as called for the participation of the business community.
Deputy PM emphasized that ministries, sectors, associations and enterprises had to seriously review and implement 6 tasks assigned by Prime Minister in Vietnam ICT Summit 2016.
Speaking at the Summit, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan affirmed the ministry’s determination to strengthen capacity to make use of the fourth industrial revolution, citing his ministry’s plan to implement policies to ensure the development of digital infrastructure and the security of the national information system, and issue standards in the field of information and technology.
Ministry of Information and Communications recommends that the Government should soon introduce preferential policies and mechanisms, create a favorable business environment, support the ICT industry community as well as start-up businesses.
After the opening session, participants attended seminars on perceptions about Vietnam in the fourth industrial revolution, Vietnam’s economic strengths, smart city technology, the digital workforce, and innovation and start-ups.
