Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee Phan Van Da said that the local authorities have directed the departments and sectors concerned to closely coordinate with the organising board for the festival, which will contribute to advertising the tourism potential and specialities of Lam Dong to visitors at home and abroad.
The festival will feature 496 entries by 114 radio and television units from across the country, of which the reportage category continued to attract the largest number of participants with 153 submissions.
For the first time, movies adapted from foreign movies, literature works, and documentary series are allowed to take part in this year’s competition.
Two workshops on social media and television, solutions to using mobile equipment for TV production, and an exhibition showcasing photos taken by those working in the TV and media industry will be held on the fringes of the festival.
During the event, 30 tourist sites in Da Lat city and its surrounding areas will open for free for visitors. Free screenings of the entries competing for the festival will also be organised at the Palace Da Lat Hotel on the occasion.
