The event has brought together 120 booths by book publishers and distributors in Hanoi and other localities nationwide, who are offering visitors a wide range of promotional programmes on their products.
A talk was held following the opening ceremony with a focus on the topic of the fourth industrial revolution, featuring the views of prestigious speakers.
Children attending the book fair can join in games providing them with experience on smart devices, which can help them to improve their English learning.
A dozen exchanges, seminars and book introductions will also be scheduled during the four-day event.
The book fair, which is among the activities to celebrate the 64th anniversary of Hanoi’s liberation day, aims to provide a meeting venue for the participants to introduce their latest products to readers, while cultivating a reading culture among the people.
