Vietnam’s E-Government Information Sharing and Monitoring System made its debut on November 29, as part of the activities under the Vietnam Information Security Day 2019.

Launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) to serve e-government development in Vietnam, the system will help monitor and analyse information from which to share and give early warnings to the relevant ministries, agencies and localities to ensure network security for e-government.
The MIC said that up to now, there have been 31 ministries, sectors and localities that have successfully connected to the National Cyber Security Monitoring Centre.
After a 6-month trial period, when it is officially put into operation, the system will be expanded nationwide, said the ministry.

Solutions and services of enterprises will be connected and shared on the system, laying the foundation for the development of an e-government, smart cities and national key information systems.
Speaking at the launch MIC Minister, Nguyen Manh Hung, said that cyberspace is Vietnam’s prosperous future and ensuring cybersecurity is synonymous with building for the future, helping the country to be more prosperous.
He also said that cybersecurity is a basic condition and a vital factor for the national digital transformation, as well as developing an e-government towards the digital government, digital economy and digital society.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highly praised the cooperation of the MIC and other units in the development of the IT industry, including the field of information security.
According to Dam, like many other countries, Vietnam has no choice but to promote the development of IT, first of all applying IT in all areas of social life, especially in the context of Industry 4.0.
