The "60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (1954-2014)" stamp set was designed under the modern style graphics to depict the Dien Bien Phu Victory Statue and a blooming Bauhinia (a typical flower of the northwestern region). These images expressed the great victory in the desire for future peace of the whole nation. This is the seventh collection of its kind highlighting the triumph.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan emphasized that the stamp set would contribute to the propagation and education for younger generations on the traditional patriotism as well as the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu and express a deep gratitude to the sacrifice of previous generations for the national liberation, construction and defense. The message of this small stamp would introduce to people throughout the country, international friends and overseas Vietnamese’s communities more about the glorious history of the people of Vietnam.
The "60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (1954-2014)" stamp set was designed by artist To Minh Trang (Vietnam Post Corporation), including 1 stamp with the written price of 3,000 VND. Stamps were printed in Postal Stamps Printing Company under the offset printing method. The supplying duration on the public postal network was from May, 05th, 2014 until December, 31st, 2015.
