Speaking at the opening ceremony, VTV General Director Tran Binh Minh said the 2016 Telefilm is expected to offer foreign and domestic companies and organisations a chance to build business links, present products and services, exchange information and explore co-operation opportunities.
The event, organised by Vietnam Television, features the participation of over 200 groups and 350 booths from 15 countries and territories including the US, Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Turkey, China, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
This year’s Telefilm Exhibition is being held on a large scale with stalls specializing in different types of products, including TV programs, dramas, TV advertising, copyright and formatting, value added and support services, engineering, television and communications technology, software and technology solutions, management, training, specialised research, publishing, and other products and services.
VTV and other TV stations and media companies, such as Cat Tien Sa, BHD, Multimedia, Lasta, Song Vang, ADT, Sunrise, Viet com, and Dolphin are also participating in the exhibition.
On the occasion, VTV broadcast a number of TV shows live at the exhibition.
Four seminars will also be held during the event, discussing the latest technologies used in television production, the role and influence of social networks in the television industry, the building of social media voices and radio in Vietnam, and copyright protection.
Since its establishment in 2013, Telefilm has been considered an important event of the television industry in Vietnam. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are selected to alternatively host the annual event.
