Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung said that the drill, which was implemented in all three regions with the participation of representatives from different ministries, sectors and localities, was a high awareness on information security of agencies, businesses and the community.
Deputy Minister said that the organization of international drills was to strengthen and maintain a smooth communication between countries, ready to coordinate in responding to network emergencies. This is also an opportunity for technical staff to practice their skills in real-world situations, to improve their knowledge, and to gain experience in the rescue of network security incidents.
This year's drill entitled "Prevention of the dangers of lack of authentication and weak access control" will create some scenarios for CERTs involved in the processing, investigation, analysis, troubleshooting and reporting of incidents.
He required VNCERT and the participating units to develop their capacity to complete the drill and comply with all international regulations in their common activities.
According to VNCERT records, the information security on cyberspace of Vietnam continues to have complicated problems in 2017. As of September 8, VNCERT has recorded, coordinated in handling 1,762 Phishing scams; 4,595 Malware attacks; 3,607 deface attacks.
