At the ceremony, Mr. Ly Vann Hong informed the recent overview of the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and hoped the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam to continue to support and assist Cambodia in the training of human resources and technical staff, building of technical infrastructure in the field of information, sharing of experience in law enforcement, etc.
Deputy Minister Hoang Vinh Bao welcomed Mr. Ly Vann Hong and the Mission had accepted the invitation from the Ministry of Information and Communications to visit and attend the "Festival Day for Young Journalists, Youth and Students of Vietnam – Cambodia Border Provinces 2019” in Vietnam (from November 5 to 7, 2019).
The visit affirmed the commitment of the two Ministries in promoting cooperation in information to a new level on the principle of "working together, develop together” practically, effectively, contributing to strengthening the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia, Deputy Minister Hoang Vinh Bao emphasized.
The Ministry of Information and Communications is ready to share with the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia experiences in building and operating the Center (similar as Vietnam National Digital Data Depository Center) in Cambodia; continue to coordinate the exchange of annual delegations between the two countries; support in training human resources; organize conferences, seminars, training courses, cultural exchanges, etc.
Within the framework of cooperation between the two governments, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam pledged to continue supporting the use of ODA by the Vietnamese Government for information infrastructure development projects for Cambodia.
At the same time, the two ministries continued to strengthen directing the press and media agencies of the two countries to increase the amount of news articles on each other's mass media about the socio-economic situation; the country, the people of Vietnam and Cambodia to enhance the understanding, solidarity and friendship between the two peoples.
