Viettel mobile internet fastest in VN

 SpeedTest, the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis, has rated Viettel the fastest mobile internet service provider in Việt Nam.

The results were the outcome of 1.61 million tests done by Vietnamese subscribers using SpeedTest in the first six month this year.
 
The test was the first of its kind in Việt Nam, with Ookla, the company behind SpeedTest, saying it was undertaken independently and without intimation to any service provider.
The company also said Viettel has been the internet speed leader for the last three years.
 
In the latest test Viettel reached an average download speed of 28.22 Mbs and upload speed of 13.56 Mbps for a Speed Score of 26.21.
 
The average score is 14.65 points in Thailand, 14.98 in the Philippines, 22.91 in Cambodia, 14.65 in India, and 21.79 in Russia.
 
Viettel has the largest 3G/4G infrastructure coverage in Việt Nam with 67,000 base transceiver stations covering 95 per cent of population. It has 33 million subscribers using data.
