Vietstampex 2015 opens in Hanoi

Vietnam Stamp Exhibition 2015 (Vietstampex 2015)- the largest stamp exhibition in the country opened in Hanoi on December, 11th featuring more than 500 postage stamp collections on display.

Vietstampex 2015 was officially organized by the Ministries of Information and Communications; Foreign Affairs; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Vietnam Post Corporations; and Vietnam Stamp Association. Information and Communications Minister Nguyen Bac Son attended and gave a welcome speech.

Accordingly, the three-day event introduces the collections of 139 authors of different ages, from 19 stamp associations of provinces and cities across the country. Many participants have won high prizes at various national and international stamp exhibitions.
 
According to Minister Nguyen Bac Son, this exhibition was a living museum about the country, people, culture of Vietnam. The exhibition was one of the practical activities of the information and communication sector to contribute to raising the awareness, love and pride for the country and people of Vietnam. 
 
Through paintings on stamps, visitors have a chance to experience unique cultural features and traditions of the country with a thousand-year history and learn about the historical process of the Vietnam revolution, President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam with ASEAN, and 70-years of Vietnam Post.
 
Vietstampex 2015 is an activity prior to the celebration of the establishment of the ASEAN Community later this year and to mark important national events. This cultural event is an opportunity for stamp collectors to exchange their experience.
