At the welcome speech, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son said, on December, 31st, 2015, the ASEAN Community would be officially launched, marking an important milestone in the history of the formation and development of ASEAN. Therefore, the Festival of Photos and Reportage - Documentary Films on the peoples in ASEAN Community in Vietnam 2015 was one of the Vietnam"s contribution to the process of building an unity ASEAN Community. He also hoped that the Festival’s photos and films, especially the winners" ones, would be widely used in the propaganda activities of the peoples of ASEAN Community in the coming time.
After 5 months of launching, the Festival received 1489 photos and photo albums; 113 documentary and reportage films from 7 countries. And 02 First prizes belonged to: The photo album "Cap sac ceremony of Dao Tien ethnic" - Authors: Trinh Thong Thien (Vietnam); Film "What are human rights" - Author: Shune Lei Thar (Myanmar).
