Making the speech in the workshop, Chief of the Ministry Office Nguyen Trong Phat emphasized that Foreign Information which is very important, is one part of Foreign Affair and ideology of the Party and the Government. Oriented- information activities is aimed at introducing and promoting image of Vietnam"s country, people and culture to international friends; therefore it is necessary to build regulation of state management on foreign information service which makes legal corridor for management of foreign information activities, defines responsibilities of Ministries, Localities and Units in co-ordination with management and implementation of activities on foreign information.
There are positive comments given in the workshop on clauses of draft regulation such as principles and content of foreign information, state management on foreign information etc.
In the same day, Mr. Le Van Nghiem, Director General of Foreign Information Service visited and worked with Da Nang Posts Newspaper, Da Nang radio and television station. He exchanged experiences on method of promoting image and providing information generally and the field of foreign information in particular; referred the relation of Newspaper and Station with relevant Units in the field of foreign information.
