Vietnam mobile subscribers gains more than 116 million

According to the statistics from the General Office of Statistics, the new telephone subscribers in the past 11 months of 2011 reached 10.4 million, up 10.7 percent over the same period last year.
There were 45,500 fixed phone subscribers and 10.4 million mobile subscribers in the past 11 months. The number of mobile subscribers increased 1.1 million in November alone.
The country’s total number of telephone subscribers gained 131.7 million, including 15.5 million fixed telephone subscribers and 116,2 million mobile subscribers by the end of November.
The country’s total number of Internet broadband subscribers is estimated to reach 4,2 million subscribers by the end of November, year- on- year increase of 16,3 percent against the figure in the same time last year.
The number of Internet users nationwide was estimated to gain about 32.2 million users, year- on-year increase of 20.1 percent against the figure in the same time last year.
The total of postal and telecom net revenue is estimated at 147.6 trillion dong, up 21.6 percent on year.
