Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung attended the ASOCIO Digital Summit

On November 7, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung attended the ASOCIO Digital Summit with the theme: Leading the Digital Transformation – Future Innovators in Asia Oceania.

Attending the Summit were about 800 delegates from 24 economies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Speaking at the Summit, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung affirmed that in the present situation of the world, to successfully implement the digital transformation, Vietnam was deeply aware of the importance of connecting, sharing and cooperating with other countries. Vietnam is ready to share practical experiences in the digital transition and is eager to cooperate with other countries to address ICT-related issues for sustainable development of mutual interests.
 
In the framework of the Summit, the ASOCIO 2018 Award Ceremony was held for individuals, agencies, organizations and enterprises having outstanding achievements and important contributions to the development and application of information technology at 24 ASOCIO member economies. The ASOCIO Award is an annual, prestigious IT award in the IT sector. Vietnam has four agencies, organizations and businesses honored at this year's awards. These are: Ministry of Finance (Organization of Excellent IT Application), People's Committee of Quang Ninh (Excellent Digital Authority), MISA (Excellent IT Enterprise) and FPT University (Excellent IT training Organization). These are the recognition of the international community for the achievements of Vietnam in the development and application of information technology in recent years.
