Hutchison (HongKong) is cooperating with Hanoi Telecom to develop and commercialize Vietnamobile – a GSM mobile operator in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan highly appreciated the contribution of Hutchison Asia Group to invest in developing Vietnamobile in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mrs. Amy Lung reported on the deployment of Vietnamobile in Vietnam. The group has recently stepped up its investment to deploy thousands of BTS stations and build 6,000km of fiber optic cable. With experience of Hutchison, she pledged to bring the best experience in the international market to contribute to the development of Vietnamobile and meet the industrial revolution 4.0.
Vietnamobile has been actively preparing infrastructure for 4G services if licensed. In addition, Vietnamobile continues to promote 3G, seriously investing in the system of shops, agents authorized by the supply chain of FPT and cooperating with Vietnam Post on retail system from now until the first quarter of 2018.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister said, at present, Vietnam had many suitable policies and create favorable conditions for businesses, especially foreign enterprises to invest in Vietnam. With its state management responsibility, the Ministry of Information and Communications will step by step help businesses solve difficulties and obstacles, ensure a healthy competitive environment to create opportunities for business development.
Regarding the issue of 4G license, the Minister expressed his support for the preparation of Vietnamobile to 4G services, and pledged to license 4G to Vietnamobile in the coming time.
