The seminar is an activitive among training cooperation programs between Sweden and Vietnam. The event was organized with the aim of providing critical journalism skills in the age of digital technologies for reporters and editors working in the press agencies of Vietnam, as well as teachers and interested young people.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao shared: we were in the era of globalization of information. All the news on all continents are transmitted continuously, and easily accessible to the public. However, the process of globalization also creates challenges for the media. In that context, journalists are required to be more professional.

He hoped that the seminar would equip new knowledge, new skills for journalists.

At the seminar, participants listened to journalism skills and modern communications such as: technical challenges of the press; the future of digital media; the communication strategy in the digital era; and professional ethics from professors and lecturers of the University of Lund as well as Vietnam’s experienced journalists.
