At the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan congratulated Mr. Christian Berger for being appointed as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam and hoped in the new position he would further promote cooperative relations between Vietnam and Germany, especially in the field of Information and Communications.
Minister Truong Minh Tuan confirmed that Germany was the leading partner of Vietnam in the field of Information and Communications. In recent years, Vietnam has sent delegations to Germany to study state management policies in the fields of radio frequencies, IT, broadcasting, publishing... Vietnam participates in the Frankfurt Book Fair every year. Minister Tuan encouraged German firms continue to invest in IT and telecom market in Vietnam.
Ambassador Christian Berger said he would continue to maintain the organization of seminars on journalism and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Ambassador also wants Vietnam and Germany continue to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of Information and Communications in the coming time.
