National Electronic Authentication Center be established

On December, 30th, 2014, in Hanoi, Ministry of Information and Communications held a Workshop on Management and use of digital signatures on electronic documents, as well as launched the operation of National Electronic Authentication Center. Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong attended and spoke at this event.

Pursuant to Decision 1592/QD-TTg dated September, 09th, 2014 of Prime Minister concerning the establishment of the National Electronic Authentication Center, the Center was established on the basis of reorganization of National Digital Signature Authentication Center, functioning in exploiting information security infrastructure for the operation of electronic transactions, including digital signature authentication and electronic authentication. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong said the establishment of National Electronic Authentication Center represented the interest of the Government and Ministry of Information and Communication in building, exploiting and developing an information security infrastructure for electronic transactions.

In conjunction with the ceremony, Ministry of Information and Communications held a workshop on Management and use of digital signatures on electronic documents. At the workshop, representatives from state agencies, IT professionals discussed and exchanged opinions on the model of using digital signatures on electronic documents to replace handwritten signatures and seals on paper documents as well as how to remove obstacles and shortcomings in the implementation of digital signatures. Other problems related to the application of digital signatures were also discussed.
