VNPT have new Chairman of Members’ Council

On December, 16th, 2014, at the headquarter of VNPT, the ceremony of handing over duties of Chairman of VNPT’s Members’ Council  from Mr. Pham Long Tran to Mr. Tran Manh Hung - VNPT General Director.

Attending the Ceremony was Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son, Deputy Minister Le Nam Thang, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong, Deputy Minister Tran Duc Lai, representatives of departments of Ministry of Information and Communications as well as representatives of VNPT and Vietnam National Union of Post and Telecommunications Workers.

 According to Decision 2184/QD-TTg dated December, 05th, 2014 of Prime Minister, Mr. Pham Long Tran will officially retire from March, 01st, 2015. Until that day, Mr. Pham Long Tran continues to manage VNPT’s operation, administration and international cooperation, also hands over parts of the duties of Chairman of Members’Council to  Mr. Tran Manh Hung, while waiting for the Prime Minister appointes Chairman of Members’ Council.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Minister Nguyen Bac Son recognized contribution as well as the role of Mr. Pham Long Tran with VNPT. VNPT currently experienced some difficulties but continued its development.  Minister Nguyen Bac Son also appreciated VNPT General Director Tran Manh Hung, during the past year, with VNPT’s leaders, had fulfilled his duties. Duties as Chairman of Members’ Council were Mr. Tran Manh Hung’s honour as well as heavy responsibility in the context of VNPT was focusing on implementing Decision No. 888/QD-TTg of Prime Minister concerning the restruction of VNPT. This required Mr. Tran Manh Hung’s efforts to fulfill his tasks on managing VNPT continue its growth.

Also at the Ceremony, Mr. Tran Manh Hung promised in the year 2015 VNPT’s profits would increase 15% compared with the year 2014.
