Deputy General Director of Ericsson Vietnam receives a medal for the Cause of Information and Communications

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung awarded the medal and took photographs with Mr. Denis Brunetti.

(Mic.gov.vn) – On March, 19th, 2014, at the head office of VNPT Group, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications (MIC) Nguyen Thanh Hung, on behalf of the Minister of Information and Communications, awarded the medal for the Cause of Information and Communications for Mr. Denis Brunetti , Deputy General Director of Ericsson Vietnam for his contributions to the development of Vietnam’s Information and Communications.

Deputy General Director of Ericsson Vietnam Company Limited, Mr. Denis Brunetti has a long relationship with Vietnam since the 1990s, when joining in the business cooperation contract (BCC) to deploy international portals between VNPT/VTI and Telstra (Australia).

Mr. Denis Brunetti became Deputy General Director of Ericsson Vietnam , Cambodia and Laos in June, 2008 and supported Vinaphone become the first network to offer 3G services in 2009. Along with his task in developing the strategic partnership between Ericsson and VNPT, Mr. Denis Brunetti contributed a huge role in the realization of the vision of a Connected Society in Vietnam.

Over the years, Mr. Denis Brunetti has actively participated in many ICT forums and events in Vietnam as a spokesman for Ericsson, to give contributions and constructive strategies. Together with his colleagues in Ericsson, he was awarded "Top 40 Green Values" of Saigon Times for initiatives in broadband mobile, and the eAsia award for innovative ICT applications in health care.

Share on future opportunities of the ICT industry in Vietnam, Mr. Denis said "Vietnam Government has been aware of the strategic value of ICT for sustainable economic development and improvement in Vietnamese people’s life and is constantly realizing this value in health care, education, energy and transportation sectors. Vietnam is developing the value of a  Connected Society by continuing to improve the mobile network quality and setting up a strategic plan for the launch of 4G. The convergence of telecommunications, IT and media has taken place with increasingly rapid paces and created many content applications suitable with Vietnamese people. In the relation between operators and OTT providers, there will be a collaboration balance of benefits and advantages to create optimal products and services for consumers".

 Mr. Denis Brunetti has 21 years working experience in the telecommunications sector and kept  important positions at Ericsson in many countries such as Australia, HongKong, Sweden and Vietnam.
