On March, 6th, 2014, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan had a meeting with leaders of the Authority of Publication and Mr. Ho Quang Minh - General Secretary Assistant of the Labour Party of Mexico, on issues of increasing publications for the community of Spanish-speaking countries.
At the meeting, Director of the Authority of Publication Chu Van Hoa emphasied the importance of bringing Vietnam"s publications abroad. According to him, this issue has not yet been put in its right place to be done effectivelly. In the future, the Authority of Publication will actively penetrate into the publication markets of Spanish -speaking countries.
Mr. Ho Quang Minh shared, in recent years, with the position of General Secretary Assistant of the Labour Party of Mexico, he has consulted the Party in publishing a number of publications concerning the revolution and history of Vietnam. However, there are still many difficulties. At the meeting, he hoped Authority of Publication, along with the leadership of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Labour Party of Mexico will set up plans in bringing Vietnam"s publications to the community of Spanish-speaking countries. With his position, he will advise the Labour Party of Mexico to facilitate the introduction of these publications to the Spanish-speaking countries in general and Mexico in particular.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Truong Minh Tuan emphasized: " In recent years, the Party and the State are also interested in developing publications in Spanish". According to Deputy Minister, currently, the Spainsh-speaking community has about 417 million people. This is the 4th largest community in the world. He assigned Authority of Publication plan this activity into this year"s action plan, in exchange with the Labour Party of Mexico to develop publications in Spanish and bring these publishing products to the community of Spanish-speaking countries.
