MIC attends international ICT exhibition and conference in Singapore

The 22nd international communications and information technology exhibition and conference (CommunicAsia2011) was opened on June 21, 2011 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. This event themed “shaping vision, creating reality”, taking place from 21- 24 June, provides complete overview of the ICT industry with summit, exhibition and forum.

Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has a pavilion at the exhibition to introduce Viet Nam’s achievements in ICT sector. This is a chance for domestic and international enterprises for exchange and cooperation in global ICT field.

Previously, the 7th Ministerial- level Forum on ICT themed “ICT- enabled communities: Opportunities and Challenges” was organized on June 20. Participants of the forum discussed on ICT trends, policies and regulations.

CommunicAsia2011 Summit was organized in line with the exhibition. The Summit focused on satellite TV, broadband trend, cloud computing, mobile marketing; electronic and telecommunications, broadband next generation etc.

Attending this year’s exhibition, Information Center under MIC introduced international enterprises and visitors to Viet Nam’s achievements in the field of posts, telecommunications, IT application and communications. Especially, 03 outstanding program and project were introduced at MIC’s pavilion including the project to convert Viet Nam into advanced ICT country, the national target program to publish information to mountainous, remote, border and island areas and the project on rural information and communication development for the 2011-2020 period.

The 8th Enterprise IT 2011 and Broadcast Asia were also held in the same time in Suntec Exhibition, Singapore.

On June 22, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong visited CommunicAsia2011 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore and paid a lot of working time at the pavilion of MIC in the exhibition.
