Training program for CIOs opens

Ministry of Information and Communications cooperated with the Party Central Committee’s Commission of propaganda and education and Steering Board on ICT of Party Agency to organize a program “ training and enhancing Chief Information Officers’ ability” for leaders from Party agencies in Southern cities and provinces on May 10, 2011. Attending the training program were over 100 leaders, officials who are working in IT management of Party Agencies in provinces from Quang Binh to Ca Mau.

At the opening ceremony, Nguyen Minh Hong, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications presented speech on orientations for IT application and development in Vietnam, contents of project to convert Vietnam into an advanced ICT nation” and main contents of National Program on IT application in State Agencies in the period of 2011- 2015. The main contents of special subject include overview on IT application and development, orientations and objectives for development in the next period and the National objectives and IT application in State agencies in the period of 2011- 2015.

The four- day training program will focus on contents on IT application in Party agencies, special subject on technology trend, role and impact of IT, challenges and management changes and CIO’s skills.

Previously, this training course was also organized for leaders from Party Agencies in Northern cities and provinces on April, 25- 28 in Quang Ninh province.

The program “training and enhancing CIOs" ability” has been held within the framework of  Vietnam ICT development project. The training program is planned to be closed on May 15, 2011 and certificates will be awarded for participants.
